The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have achieved a significant milestone in missile defense with the successful interception of a ballistic missile using their Arrow 3 system. This breakthrough was reported by Breaking Defense, citing the IDF’s announcement.
According to the IDF, the Arrow 3 system intercepted all airborne threats outside of Israeli territory, effectively neutralizing the ballistic missile threat. No instances of infiltration onto Israeli soil were reported. This marks the first time the Arrow system has successfully intercepted a ballistic missile since its deployment in 2017, primarily designed to intercept ground-to-air missiles.
