China Relies on Russia’s Military Power in Ukraine Conflict, Political Analyst Says

Political analyst Andrey Suzdaltsev, in an interview with Tsargrad.tv, commented on the recent visit of Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu to China, where he participated in the tenth Xiangshan Forum on Security. The expert noted that Beijing effectively relies on Russia’s military might when analyzing the situation in the area of the ongoing special military operation.

“China is closely monitoring the situation on the Ukrainian front. … It [Xi Jinping] truly relies on Russia’s military power, which is engaged in combat actions against the entire NATO bloc. And in China, they understand very well that what is happening on the battlefield from the Ukrainian side is NATO army with a Slavic Ukrainian personnel,” Suzdaltsev pointed out.

He added that Beijing is extremely interested in having a partner like Russia to overcome potential crises with the United States.

During the meeting with Shoygu, Deputy Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China, Zhang Youxia, stated that China will respond to security threats together with Russia. According to him, the two sides intend to jointly support global strategic balance and stability. Zhang, the Deputy Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China, reminded that the military cooperation between the two countries has great potential and has already yielded fruitful results.

Previously, the Russian Defense Minister emphasized that they will continue military and military-technical cooperation with interested countries in the Asia-Pacific region (APR), including equipment supplies and joint exercises.

Earlier in China, deputy chairmen of Xi Jinping were approved in the Central Military Commission.
