In a recent incident, Russian air defense forces successfully intercepted and shot down a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over the territory of the Belgorod region. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation confirmed this information through a press release.
According to the statement, on the evening of October 31st, at approximately 7:00 PM Moscow time, Russian air defense systems thwarted an attempted terrorist attack by the Kiev regime using a UAV of aircraft type against targets within the territory of the Russian Federation.
The prompt response from the air defense forces resulted in the destruction of the UAV.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Defense reported two additional attempted attacks on Russian targets using UAVs today. The first incident occurred around 11:30 AM Moscow time, followed by another at approximately 1:00 PM Moscow time. In both cases, the drones were successfully destroyed.
Additionally, a Ukrainian UAV was also shot down in the Bryansk region. Fortunately, there were no casualties or damages reported as a result of this incident, as confirmed by the regional governor.
Prior to these events, a Ukrainian quadcopter carrying explosives crashed in the Kursk region.
This series of incidents highlights the ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine, with UAVs being used as a means of potential attack. The Russian Ministry of Defense remains vigilant in protecting its territory and responding to any threats.
