Russian Forces Shoot Down Ukrainian Military Drone in Crimea

Russian fighters from the “Crimea” battalion have successfully shot down a heavy drone belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) named “Baba Yaga”. The video of the incident was shared by military correspondent Alexander Sladkov, and this information has been confirmed by a representative of the battalion, as reported by TASS.

“Yes, our guys took down one of those drones,” he said.

“Baba Yaga” is a combat modification of the agricultural unmanned aerial vehicle (hexacopter) Reactive Drone Agric RDE616. It is capable of carrying payloads weighing up to 50 kilograms, with a maximum flight altitude of 30 meters.

In August, the commander of the “Yug-Ahmat” battalion, Musa Borziev, with the call sign “Zveroboy,” showcased a downed Russian drone named “Baba Yaga” captured by Russian fighters.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian forces had shot down 33 UAF drones within the area of responsibility in the span of 24 hours.
