Russian Defense Forces Intercept Ukrainian Drones Threatening Russian Territory

The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported that their air defense systems successfully shot down a Ukrainian drone over the Belgorod region. This incident marks another attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using unmanned aerial vehicles on Russian soil.

Prior to this, another drone was intercepted by the Russian air defense system around 11:30 am in the same region. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation had previously announced that their anti-aircraft defense systems had shot down 28 unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to the Ukrainian armed forces over the Black Sea, Kursk, and Belgorod regions during the night of October 18.

On October 16, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the Governor of the Belgorod region, revealed that four drones had been shot down over the area within 24 hours, and these drones had dropped 11 explosive devices. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but various infrastructure and objects were damaged. In the village of Razumnoye, the balcony windows of a house were shattered, while in Krasnoyaryzhskoye, a power transmission line was affected.

Earlier, Russia developed a new system for countering drones, demonstrating their commitment to protecting their territory from potential threats posed by unmanned aerial vehicles.
