Russian General Accuses Ukraine of Bioweapon Provocation with US Support

The Chief of the Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Protection Troops of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, has claimed that a biological provocation scenario against Russia was carried out in Lviv, Ukraine in August and September. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.

According to Kirillov, the Ukrainian Scientific and Technological Center (UNTC) in Kyiv, which is involved in distributing grants from the Pentagon, resumed its activities in 2023. With financial support from the United States, a training program on responding to biological threats was conducted in Lviv at the Galician National Medical University in August and September.

Kirillov added that the training involved the participation of employees from the Security Service of Ukraine, the police, as well as staff members of Western non-profit organizations.

“The result of implementing this scenario is the accusation of Russia for non-compliance with the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (BTWC), its discreditation on the international stage, and the imposition of additional sanctions against our country,” Kirillov stated.

Previously, Kirillov had reported that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States had utilized the RAND Corporation for military-biological purposes.

Earlier, The Washington Post newspaper claimed the involvement of the CIA in the drone attack on the Crimean Bridge.
