Russian Paratroopers Destroy Ukrainian Reconnaissance Unit near Artemivsk

In a recent military engagement, Russian paratroopers successfully eliminated a Ukrainian reconnaissance unit that was advancing towards Artemivsk (also known as Bakhmut), according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, as reported by RIA Novosti.

The Russian forces detected the Ukrainian reconnaissance group with the help of a drone. The Ukrainian soldiers were moving north of Artemivsk towards Russian defensive positions.

“Displaying courage and bravery, the crew members of the second-generation combat vehicles of the paratroopers marched on standard equipment and, upon approaching the enemy, unleashed a barrage of direct fire from a 30-millimeter automatic cannon,” the Russian military department shared.

It is noted that the Russian units used BMP-3 vehicles, from which fire was conducted from concealed firing positions at a distance of approximately 5 kilometers. As a result, the Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel were eliminated.

Prior to this incident, the “Aida” group of the “Akhmat” special forces targeted a Ukrainian stronghold near Belhorodka in the Kremenets sector of the front in Donbass using kamikaze drones and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Earlier, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Kuliba, called on critics of the pace of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ offensive to “shut up.”
