In a daily briefing, the Russian Ministry of Defense has reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have suffered significant losses on the Southern Donetsk front. Over 100 military personnel have been lost in the conflict.
According to the Russian defense department, fire was directed at the concentrations of troops and equipment belonging to the 72nd mechanized, 79th airborne assault, 105th, and 118th territorial defense brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. These attacks took place in the areas of Priyutne in the Zaporizhzhia region, Novomykhailivka, Mykolaivka, and Ugleedar in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).
Furthermore, the Ukrainian army has lost two armored transport vehicles, two pickups, and a “Hyacinth-B” cannon as a result of these engagements.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also revealed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost a total of 285 soldiers during the course of the day on the Donetsk front.
On October 29th, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of over 40 UAVs belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces within a 24-hour period. The military department stated that air defense systems successfully targeted and destroyed 44 Ukrainian drones in the areas of Nyrkove, Ploshchanka, Troitske, Zolotarevka, Verkhnetoretske, Novofedorivka, and Vasilievka.
Prior to these developments, Russia had developed a new drone suppression system.
