Israeli tanks have been spotted approaching the city of Gaza, with reports indicating that the key road has been blocked. According to local channel “News from the Field on Telegram” citing eyewitnesses, tanks from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) were seen on Salah ad-Din Street.
The information, reported by Agency France Press and relayed by RIA Novosti, states that Israeli tanks have been observed on the outskirts of Gaza, and the “key road has been blocked.”
Additionally, videos of Israeli military vehicles advancing have started circulating on social media.
There has been no official confirmation of this information yet.
On Friday, October 27, the IDF announced an “escalation in scale” of their ground maneuvers in Gaza. The Palestinian radical organization Hamas claimed that Gaza was attacked “from land, sea, and air,” and called on the international community to take immediate action.
Israel has previously conducted incursions into the Gaza Strip using tanks, with coordination being carried out by the Givati Brigade.
Earlier, Hamas stated that it would release foreign hostages “when circumstances allow.”
