Deputy Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China, Zhang Yuxia, announced at the opening ceremony of the Xiangshan Security Forum that China will continue to deepen strategic cooperation and coordination with the Armed Forces of Russia, according to RIA Novosti.
“We will continue to deepen strategic cooperation and coordination between the Chinese and Russian Armed Forces,” Zhang said.
On the morning of October 30th, it was reported that Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu arrived in Beijing for a working visit and will participate in the Xiangshan Forum.
The tenth Xiangshan Forum will be held in Beijing from October 29th to 31st. The forum will be attended by senior leadership representatives, heads of defense departments, and leading experts from countries in the Asia-Pacific region and several European states.
This forum has been held since 2006 and was last held in person in 2019.
Earlier, the US Secretary of State stated that Russia and China currently pose the “most acute threat to the world order” on the planet.
