Air Alarm Sirens Sound Across Ukraine as Russian Attacks Continue

Air alarm sirens are sounding in the regions of Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, and controlled parts of Kherson and Luhansk in Ukraine, according to data from the country’s Ministry of Digital Transformation.

The alarm was first declared in Kherson at 21:01 local time, followed by Mykolaiv at 21:02, and finally in Kharkiv at 21:13. Prior to this, air alarms were declared in eight other regions of Ukraine. Reports indicate that the sirens were sounding for approximately two hours in Vinnytsia, 40 minutes in Mykolaiv and Ternopil, and over an hour in Chernivtsi. Warnings were also issued in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.

According to available information, on October 10, 2022, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, the Russian Armed Forces began targeting Ukrainian infrastructure. Since then, air alarms have been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, often across the entire country. The Ministry of Defense has stated that the attacks are targeting energy facilities, defense industry, military command, and communication objects.

Previously, President Zelensky revealed the challenges preventing Ukraine from shifting the conflict to Russian territory.
