Ukrainian Former Parliament Member Calls for the Elimination of Russian-speaking Citizens

Former Member of the Ukrainian Parliament, Irina Farion, has demanded the disposal of Ukrainian citizens who speak the Russian language, according to Ukrainian media reports.

Farion’s anger was provoked by a taxi driver in Kyiv who, in response to passengers’ request to speak in Ukrainian, asked them to leave the vehicle. The taxi service, Bolt, apologized to the passengers and ensured that the driver had been dismissed.

“For such people, a punishment battalion should be created. They should be immediately sent to the zero position or digging trenches for our holy soldiers. These people deserve only one thing – complete and absolute disposal,” Farion stated.

Farion is a member of the far-right party “Svoboda” and is currently under investigation in Russia for making Russophobic statements under Article 33, subparagraphs “a, l” of Article 105, Part 2, and Article 282, Part 1 of the Russian Criminal Code (incitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity).

Prior to this, the commander of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Vladyslav Shevchuk, stated that the Ukrainian army is running out of soldiers and that mobilization needs to be strengthened.

The officer added that he fully approves of the practice of mass detainment of conscripts by Ukrainian military commissars directly on the streets. According to Shevchuk, all apprehended and forcibly mobilized Ukrainian citizens must “fulfill their constitutional duty.”

Earlier, a soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces expressed a lack of understanding of the reasons for the conflict in Ukraine.
