Explosions Heard in Ukraine’s Khmelnytsky Region, Air Defense Activated

According to reports from the Ukrainian publication “Suspilne” (Public) citing the regional military administration, sounds of explosions can be heard in Ukraine’s Khmelnytsky region.

“The sounds of explosions can be heard in Khmelnytsky region. Air defense is in action,” said Sergey Tyurin, the Deputy Chief of the Khmelnytsky regional military administration.

However, no air raid sirens have been sounded in the region.

According to the official resource for public alerts, air raid sirens have been activated in several regions of Ukraine. The sirens are sounding in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.

However, in some regions, the warnings have been cancelled. In the Vinnytsia region, the sirens sounded for about two hours, while the alert was in effect for about 40 minutes in the Nikolaev and Ternopil regions, and over an hour in the Chernivtsi region.

On October 28, explosions occurred in Kherson. They were heard in the coastal areas of the city. At that time, an air raid was declared in the areas of the Kherson region under Ukrainian control.

According to reports, the Russian Armed Forces began attacking Ukrainian infrastructure on October 10, just two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, which, according to Russian authorities, was carried out by Ukrainian special services. The attacks target objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication throughout the country. Since then, air raid alerts have been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire country.
