Ukrainian Soldiers Express Frustration and Demand Demobilization

Ukrainian soldiers have been voicing their grievances about the unfair treatment they receive in the West, according to Melinda Herring, an analyst at the Atlantic Council, in an interview with Business Insider.

Herring stated that Ukrainian soldiers often complain that the West expects them to achieve victories without providing adequate air support.

“You cannot ask us to fight in a way that you wouldn’t fight yourself,” Herring quoted the soldiers’ complaints.

Additionally, Ukrainian servicemen are dissatisfied with the fact that they represent only a small portion of the population in the conflict, while the rest of Ukraine allegedly enjoys a peaceful life in the rear.

Protests demanding the demobilization of military personnel took place in Kiev, Odessa, and Poltava. Families of the fighters gathered in the squares with signs that read, “Demobilization for our defenders!” and “My husband has been at war for 586 days. It’s time for others to take over,” among others.

Earlier, a soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces expressed his lack of understanding regarding the reasons for the conflict in Ukraine.
