Russian military forces have reportedly launched a devastating attack on Ukrainian fighters in the areas of Vodyane and Staromykhailivka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, resulting in the loss of over 100 Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) soldiers. This information was revealed by the official Telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The Russian Ministry of Defense clarified that the combat operations took place in the special operation zone on the South Donetsk direction.
“The units of the ‘Vostok’ task force in coordination with army aviation and artillery have dealt a significant blow to the concentrations of personnel of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade of the UAF and the 118th Territorial Defense Brigade,” explained the Russian military authority.
The losses suffered by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this direction amounted to approximately 120 servicemen in a single day.
Additionally, the Ukrainian side lost three vehicles, as confirmed by the Ministry of Defense.
Prior to this, the Russian Ministry of Defense had reported on the number of projectiles fired by the UAF during the week.
Earlier, the United States identified one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
