Ukrainian Commander Provides Updates on Frontline Situation to US and UK Military Officials

Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyy recently held discussions with US Army Commander in Europe General Christopher Cavoli and Chief of the Defence Staff of the UK, General Sir Nick Carter, regarding the situation on the frontline. Zaluzhnyy shared detailed information about the ongoing offensive and defensive operations, as well as the challenges faced on various fronts. This was reported through his Telegram channel.

During the meeting, Zaluzhnyy also highlighted the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (VSU).

Prior to this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky chaired a special meeting of the military cabinet, where discussions were held on enhancing the country’s defense-industrial complex capabilities.

On October 19, Zaluzhnyy visited the city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), which is under the control of the Ukrainian government.

In a recent article by The Economist titled “Russia Now Fights for Territories in Eastern Ukraine,” military correspondent Yevheniy Linin commented that the West is beginning to acknowledge that Russian forces are gaining the upper hand against the VSU.

Earlier, the US acknowledged the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
