Armed Attack on Israeli Military Base in Red Sea Archipelago

An armed attack has been carried out on an Israeli army base in the Dahalak archipelago, a group of islands in the Red Sea near the mainland of Eritrea. This information was reported by the Lebanese channel Al Mayadeen, citing Eritrean military sources, as reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the television channel, the unknown attackers targeted the top of a mountain where an Israeli military observation post is located in the Red Sea.

Sources from Al Mayadeen have stated that Israel lost one officer as a result of the attack. The channel also notes that the Dahalak archipelago is home to Israel’s largest foreign base.

On October 26, Israel’s UN representative, Gilad Erdan, stated that Israel is waging a war against the radical organization Hamas, which it considers to be a terrorist group and responsible for genocide. He emphasized that the Palestinian people are not enemies of the Jewish state.

Earlier in the US, the timeframe for Israel’s ground operation in Gaza was announced.
