In a recent incident, an American military transport plane, the Boeing C-17A Globemaster III, flying from Germany, raised an alarm signal while circling in the mountains over Iraq. This alarming development was reported by the Telegram channel Mash.
It is known that aircraft of this type can transport up to three AH-64 Apache helicopters, one M1 Abrams tank, up to 48 stretchers with wounded individuals, or up to 102 fully equipped soldiers.
This incident follows another crash involving an American military aircraft that occurred in September within the United States itself. The accident took place in South Carolina, resulting in the loss of an F-35B stealth fighter from the 501st Fighter Squadron of the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. Fortunately, the pilot was quickly located after ejecting from the aircraft. The pilot explained that he had lost control of the plane at a certain point.
Military teams spent hours searching for the wreckage of the aircraft before eventually finding it in the vicinity of Florence.
These incidents come after previous sightings of American military aircraft over the Baltic Sea.
