Russian Forces Launch Heavy Attacks on Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kharkiv Region

The press center of the Russian military group “West” has reported that heavy flamethrower systems have struck a concentration of Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the Timkovka area of the Kharkiv region, according to TASS.

According to Sergey Zybinsky, the spokesperson for the “West” group, during the fighting on the Kupyansk direction, units of the group successfully repelled 15 attacks by assault groups from the 14th, 43rd, 54th, and 67th mechanized brigades of the UAF in the areas of Sinkovka, Timkovka, and Nadya, using the results of aviation strikes and artillery fire.

“In addition, the heavy flamethrower systems also targeted a concentration of forces in the positions of the 32nd mechanized brigade in the Timkovka area,” Zybinsky added.

According to his information, during the counter-battery combat by the group’s artillery, two “Gvozdika” self-propelled artillery units and an M777 howitzer were destroyed in the areas of Peschany and Krinichki. The losses of the UAF amounted to more than 145 servicemen, two BMPs, three mortars, two pickups, and one unmanned aerial vehicle.

Prior to this, Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada committee member Sergey Rakhmanin announced that mobilization in the country would be strengthened due to losses on the front.

Earlier in the Rada, the reason for the dismissal of all deputy ministers of defense of Ukraine was revealed.
