Escambia, Florida – In a horrifying incident, a man was stabbed, thrown off a bridge, and his car was set on fire after a date gone wrong. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged 25-year-old Natalie Fonseca and 31-year-old Nafis Reynolds, both from Pensacola, Florida, with attempted murder and other charges.
According to the authorities, Fonseca had agreed to meet a man she met on social media for dinner and to hang out. While on a date, Fonseca introduced Reynolds as her uncle. The trio then left for a drive to the victim’s house.
However, things took a terrifying turn when Fonseca and Reynolds attacked the victim, hitting him multiple times and threatening him with death. They proceeded to steal the victim’s belongings, including his shoes, cellphone, and money, before committing heinous acts of violence.
After cutting the victim’s throat, they callously threw him over a bridge rail into the Escambia River. In a shocking twist, they fled the scene in the victim’s car, which was later found burnt on West 98.
Miraculously, the victim survived the fall and managed to swim to shore. He then flagged down a deputy and reported the harrowing ordeal. Detectives quickly responded to the scene and identified Fonseca and Reynolds as the alleged attackers.
Fonseca and Reynolds were taken into custody and booked on charges of attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery, and arson. Their bond was set at $852,000 and $851,000, respectively.
