Russian air defense forces have implemented a new strategy of “one launch, one projectile, one target.” This information was revealed by military expert, Air Force Major General Sergey Lipovoy, in an interview with NEWS.ru. He commented on the recent announcement by Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu, who stated that the Russian Armed Forces have received modern anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM), which have successfully downed 24 Ukrainian aircraft in just five days.
Lipovoy emphasized that the effectiveness of air defense has been enhanced through continuous modernization of existing systems and the development of new missile complexes.
“Our air defense systems have a significant modernization potential. I assume that the latest SAM systems, which have shot down 24 Ukrainian aircraft in five days, surpass the existing ones in terms of target detection range, maneuverability, and counteracting Ukrainian electronic warfare systems,” noted Lipovoy.
According to him, the Russian Armed Forces have established a multi-layered air defense system, incorporating a wide range of anti-aircraft capabilities.
The Russian Defense Minister made this statement during a conversation with members of the “Vostok” military group. The soldiers informed him about the successful defeat of the Ukrainian army’s M777 artillery systems.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported for the first time about the downing of two ATACMS missiles in the AOR.
