Hamas Militants Prepare for Operation Against Israel, CNN Reports

Hamas militants have been preparing for an operation against Israel for the past two years by abandoning the use of smartphones and computers, according to sources cited by CNN.

Reporters discovered that the Palestinian fighters have switched to using landline telephones, utilizing tunnels beneath the Gaza Strip to lay phone lines. This tactic allowed them to conceal their preparations from Israeli intelligence.

The tunnels, described as an “extensive labyrinth,” were not only used for laying phone wires but also for storing rockets and ammunition. Journalists noted that the militants were able to move undetected through the tunnels.

On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, announcing the start of the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, capturing dozens of military vehicles and over a hundred hostages. In light of these events, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu declared that the country was in a state of war.

The Israeli Defense Forces’ counter-operation, named “Iron Swords,” aims to destroy Hamas. The Israeli Air Force has conducted strikes on hundreds of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli National Security Council has decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the sector. On October 13th, Israel informed the United Nations that 1.1 million Palestinians must evacuate to the southern Gaza Strip within 24 hours in anticipation of a ground operation in Gaza.

Earlier, Egypt had warned about the potential escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
