Palestinian Minister Reports Use of Prohibited Weapons in Gaza, International Community Urged to Take Action

According to the Palestinian Minister of Health, May al-Kaila, there are individuals in the Gaza Strip who have been affected by weapons that are prohibited by international conventions. She stated that burn victims, which are characteristic of these internationally banned weapons, are seeking medical help. The minister explained that all such cases are being documented and will be sent to the relevant international bodies.

In an interview, Queen Rania of Jordan criticized the West for displaying blatant double standards by supporting Israel amidst the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the Middle East. She added that many Arab states perceive this support as complicity in Israel’s alleged crimes against the people of the Gaza Strip.

On October 23, the Israeli Minister of Defense, Yoav Galant, announced that Israel is preparing for a new phase of war, which will involve a combined strike. The Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces, Gadi Eizenkot, later stated that the IDF is prepared for a ground operation, but a political decision is awaited regarding its form and timing. He also noted that tactical and strategic factors are delaying the start of military actions but allow for better preparation.
