Poland to Conduct Military Exercises Near Belarus and Russia Borders

Poland has announced that it will be conducting military exercises near its borders with Belarus and Russia. The exercises, named “ZUBR-23,” will take place between October and November, according to the General Command of the Armed Forces.

The military stated that the tactical exercises will commence on Thursday and continue until Sunday. As a result, the movement of troops and military equipment is expected on highways, cities, and forests in the Podlaskie, Mazovian, Lublin, and Warmian-Masurian voivodeships.

The purpose of the exercises is to enhance security along Poland’s eastern border and prepare the troops for operating in extreme conditions, the military noted.

The General Command has requested that no information or photos regarding the movement of troops be shared on social media.

Former Polish President Lech Walesa warned in an interview that the country is at risk of a civil war due to parliamentary elections. Walesa expressed concerns that weapons might be used and ultimately, the people will take to the streets.

Earlier, Transnistria accused Moldova of preparing for an armed conflict with Russia.
