Russian Paratroopers to Receive Advanced Sniper Rifles

In a move to enhance their capabilities, Russian paratroopers are set to receive a shipment of the latest self-loading sniper rifles, the MC-566. Manufactured by the Central Design and Research Bureau of Sporting and Hunting Weapons in Tula, these rifles have already established their effectiveness in special military operations. Equipped with advanced intelligent optical and thermal imaging systems, the rifles will soon be deployed to one of the special forces units of the Airborne Troops.

This development comes as the head of Lobaev Arms, Vladislav Lobaev, announced the commencement of production for the highly anticipated self-loading sniper rifle “Zveroboy” in Russia. Furthermore, Sergey Urzhumtsev, the chief designer of the Kalashnikov Concern, revealed that the first batch of modified AK-12 rifles, incorporating lessons learned from special military operations, is expected to be ready by the latter half of 2023.

The introduction of these new weapons follows Russia’s earlier achievement of developing a cutting-edge drone suppression system.

With these advancements, Russian paratroopers are poised to further bolster their combat capabilities and maintain their position at the forefront of military technology.
