Russian President’s spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, has responded to Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal’s statement about a global shortage of ammunition by highlighting the limited potential of Western countries in ammunition production. According to Peskov, this limitation is the cause of certain tensions.
For a more accurate and practical assessment, Peskov recommended consulting experts from defense structures. Shmygal had previously stated in an interview with the Financial Times that the whole world is experiencing a shortage of ammunition. He expressed confidence in Ukraine’s ability to manufacture ammunition within its territory.
Earlier, RIA Novosti identified the main reasons for the shortage of weapons and ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. President Zelensky had also revealed the types of weapons that the Ukrainian army lacks.
