Israeli Defense Forces Eliminate Five Militant Groups along Northern Border

In a successful overnight operation, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have eliminated five militant groups attempting to launch attacks near the northern border. This announcement was made by IDF spokesperson Daniel Haggari during a briefing with journalists, as reported by TASS.

Haggari revealed that Israeli troops stationed in the country’s north are maintaining a strong defense and are prepared for any potential attacks. “Overnight, our soldiers neutralized five groups of terrorists who were attempting to launch an assault on Israel,” added the IDF representative.

This comes after the military wing of the Palestinian movement Hamas claimed responsibility for a recent rocket attack on the Israeli city of Beersheba.

On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, initiating the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, seizing dozens of military vehicles and taking over a hundred hostages. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country was in a state of war.

Earlier, the United States provided insight into the timeline for Israel’s ground operation in Gaza.
