US Forces Under Attack in Syria, Pentagon Reports

US forces stationed in Syria have come under attack, according to a spokesperson from the Pentagon. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

Earlier, the Al-Mayadeen television channel reported that the US base at At-Tanf, located in the southeast desert of Syria, was attacked by two drones. The channel claimed that these drones managed to penetrate the American base’s air defenses.

Responsibility for the strike was claimed by the Iraqi faction of the radical Hamas movement, whose representatives stated that the attack also targeted the Er-Rukban base, which serves as a refugee camp.

It was also reported recently that the Ain al-Asad military airbase in western Iraq’s Anbar province, where both Iraqi and American troops are stationed, was targeted by rocket fire.

On October 21, the Pentagon announced that two drones had been shot down over the Ain al-Asad base.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba expressed his confusion regarding the conditions that Ukraine needs to fulfill in order to join NATO.
