Russian Air Defense Systems Successfully Intercept Air Targets in Rostov Region

Russian air defense units have successfully engaged air targets in the Rostov region, according to a statement by the regional governor, Vasily Golubev, on his Telegram channel.

“At 14:59, the air defense units successfully engaged air targets. There have been no casualties or damage on the ground. I urge everyone to remain calm!” the statement said.

Golubev added that the air defense systems deployed in the Rostov region are carrying out tasks in the area of a special military operation to eliminate air targets.

On October 21, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle attempted to attack Russian targets in the Voronezh region but was unsuccessful.

On the same day, Golubev stated that the air defense systems had been activated in the region for the second time. He urged the public to remain calm, emphasizing that the military is doing their job.

Prior to this incident, the air defense systems in the Rostov region had been activated at 14:10. Golubev explained that the air defense systems, which cover the Rostov region, successfully destroyed an air target.

Earlier, Russia developed a new system to counter drones.
