Israel Creates Self-Defense Forces Amid Escalating Conflict with Palestine

In response to the heightened security situation and escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the Israeli Ministry of National Security has announced the creation of approximately 50 self-defense forces across the country. This development comes as tensions continue to rise on the Lebanese-Israeli border. According to Ynet, the self-defense forces have been established in cities such as Kiryat Motzkin, Nageria, Rosh Pina, and Arad. The formation and training of these forces are part of security measures undertaken with the supervision of the Israeli police, as reported by the ministry.

Earlier, Israel’s Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, stated that the country’s main objective is to eliminate all Hamas targets within the Gaza Strip. On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory and declared the start of the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, capturing dozens of military vehicles and over a hundred hostages. In light of these events, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared a state of war.

The retaliatory operation by the Israel Defense Forces has been named “Iron Swords,” with one of its main goals being the destruction of Hamas. The Israeli Air Force has conducted strikes on hundreds of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, and the Israeli National Security Council has decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the region.

Earlier, Russia speculated on the possible duration of the Israeli-Hamas conflict.
