Israeli Airstrikes in Gaza Result in the Death of 13 People

In a recent series of Israeli airstrikes on two residential houses and a mosque in the northern part of Gaza, 13 people have been reported dead, according to the Palestinian news agency, WAFA.

The military planes of the occupiers conducted multiple raids on two houses in the Al-Ternis area and the Al-Albani mosque in the Jabalia camp in northern Gaza, resulting in the loss of at least thirteen lives, as stated in the report.

The ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict, rooted in territorial interests, has remained a source of tension and clashes in the region for many decades.

On October 7th, Hamas forces launched several thousand rockets into Israeli territory and declared the beginning of the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, seizing dozens of military vehicles and over a hundred hostages. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the country was in a state of war.

The retaliatory operation by the Israel Defense Forces is named “Iron Swords,” with the destruction of Hamas being one of its objectives. The Israeli Air Force has targeted hundreds of Hamas facilities in the Gaza Strip, and the Israeli National Security Council has decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the sector. On October 13th, Israel informed the United Nations that 1.1 million Palestinians must evacuate to the south of Gaza within 24 hours in anticipation of a ground operation in the area.

Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant promised that the sector of Gaza would remember the “unprecedented response” for the next 50 years.
