Upon arrival at the scene, officers found 46-year-old Robert Tamaccio from Newport Beach with apparent stab wounds.
Emergency medical crews rushed Tamaccio to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead. In response to the incident, a comprehensive investigation was immediately initiated by the police, with the assistance of several other Orange County agencies. The joint efforts of officers, detectives, and crime scene investigation personnel led to the arrest of 46-year-old Randolf Aguirre and his 30-year-old daughter, Desirre Aguirre, on October 3, 2023, at approximately 5 p.m.
According to investigators, Randolf and Desirre Aguirre were identified as the suspects who fled the scene with Tamaccio’s shoes and Rolex watch. Randolf Aguirre, who had been recently released from state prison after serving a previous sentence for assault charges, now faces charges of murder, robbery, and parole violation. Desirre Aguirre, on the other hand, has been charged with robbery.
The arrest records reveal that Randolf Aguirre was released just seven weeks prior to the fatal incident. As a “three-striker” with a history of criminal offenses, he could potentially face a minimum sentence of 25 years in prison. However, if convicted on the latest charges, he may also face the death penalty.
