Israeli Defense Forces Strike Hezbollah Post in Lebanon in Retaliation for Rocket Attacks

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have reported a strike on an observation post belonging to the Hezbollah armed group based in Lebanon. This retaliation comes in response to a rocket attack in the Tziporeen area.

On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, declaring the start of the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, seizing dozens of military vehicles and over a hundred hostages. In light of this, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu declared that the country is in a state of war.

The IDF’s counter-operation has been named “Iron Swords,” with the goal of destroying Hamas. The Israeli Air Force has conducted strikes on hundreds of Hamas targets in the Gaza sector, and the Israeli National Security Council has decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the sector. On October 13th, Israel informed the United Nations that 1.1 million Palestinians must evacuate to the southern Gaza within 24 hours in anticipation of a ground operation in Gaza.

This news is ongoing.

Earlier, a political analyst identified one of the reasons for the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
