The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson, Daniel Hagar, has confirmed that the number of hostages held in the Gaza sector has reached 212. This information was reported by The Times of Israel.
According to Hagar, the families of the hostages have been informed about the fate of their loved ones. He also noted that the number is not final, as the military is investigating new information about those who have gone missing.
Prior to this, the IDF announced that Israel is evacuating 14 settlements along the border with Lebanon. These include Snir, Dan, Beit Gilgal, Shear Yashuv, HaGoshrim, Liman, Matzuva, Eilon, Goren, Gornot HaGalil, Even Menachem, Sasa, Tziv’on, and Ramot Naftali.
On October 21, the Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas, announced their intention to release two more individuals who were taken hostage during an attack on Israel.
