British Army Trains Ukrainian Engineers in Critical Infrastructure Protection

In a recent development, the Ministry of Defense in the United Kingdom has announced that soldiers from the Royal Engineers Corps, part of the British Army, have provided training to Ukrainian engineers in the field of critical infrastructure protection. This information has been reported by TASS.

The publication emphasizes that Ukrainian engineers underwent a two-week training program focused on safeguarding critical national infrastructure.

According to the ministry, British experts demonstrated to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) how to identify the most vulnerable elements of critical national infrastructure. Ukrainian soldiers were also trained on the placement of physical and aerial barriers to protect these facilities.

Prior to this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, while addressing the foreign ministers of EU member states, called for the integration of training for Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter aircraft into an EU training mission.

Earlier, The New York Times reported that President Zelensky was keen to secure support from the United States and the European Union for the delivery of F-16 fighters before the upcoming elections in Western countries.
