Ukraine Prepares for Winter with Support from NATO

The head of the Press and Information Department of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Illarion Pavlyuk, announced on the “Rada” TV channel that the next meeting in the “Ramstein” format will take place in Germany in November.

“The next meeting in the ‘Ramstein’ format will be in November, the date will be announced later,” he said.

Pavlyuk clarified that the main topic of the meeting will be the preparation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for winter, specifically strengthening air defense, supplying artillery, and ammunition.

Prior to this, the Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, during a joint briefing with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky before the meeting of the Contact Group in Brussels, stated that NATO will continue to provide full support to Ukraine.

Several meetings of the Contact Group in support of Ukraine have previously taken place at the American Ramstein Air Base in Germany, involving countries from the North Atlantic Alliance and their allies. These meetings discussed the delivery of weapons and military equipment to Kyiv. The first negotiations took place in April 2022, and the latest on September 19. These meetings have come to be known as the “Ramstein” negotiations.

Earlier, Ukraine outlined the conditions for holding negotiations with Russia.
