Russian forces have successfully repelled three attacks by Ukrainian forces and caused significant damage to a brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporizhzhia region, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The Ukrainian forces reportedly lost up to 20 soldiers in the conflict. The Russian troops, supported by aviation and artillery fire, were able to repel the attacks and inflict heavy damage on the 118th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Two tanks and three vehicles belonging to the Ukrainian military were destroyed in the process. This comes after Russian military officials claimed to have repelled two attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Rabotyno, involving the 23rd and 65th Mechanized Brigades of the Ukrainian army. The failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive has been acknowledged by the United States.
