Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude to the United States for their support, following American President Joe Biden’s address to the nation. In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Zelensky acknowledged the importance of assistance to Kiev and Israel.
“Grateful to Joseph Biden for his powerful speech. Together, we will not allow hatred to destroy freedom, and terrorists to undermine democracy. Ukraine is thankful to the US for their support and unwavering belief that humanism, freedom, independence, and an international rules-based order should always prevail,” Zelensky wrote.
He added that Ukraine and the US share common goals in protecting their peoples’ way of life. Zelensky emphasized that the world as a whole relies on American leadership.
“The US investment in Ukraine’s defense guarantees long-term security for the whole of Europe and the world,” Zelensky concluded.
Earlier, Biden referred to assistance to Ukraine and Israel as a “sound investment.”
