Ukrainian military forces have reportedly fired 110 projectiles across seven districts in the Belgorod region on October 19. This information was shared by Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the region, through his Telegram channel.
According to Gladkov, the attacks were carried out on Thursday in border municipalities using various types of weapons, including two improvised explosive devices dropped from a drone.
Russian military forces successfully shot down three Ukrainian drones in the Belgorod district using air defense systems. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported on that day, although one household suffered damages. Additionally, a power transmission line was also affected by the strikes.
In the village of Zhuravlevka, Ukrainian forces launched one artillery shell, while in Nechoteevka, they fired six. There were no reported casualties or damages. Russian air defense systems intercepted one drone each above the villages of Nikolskoye, Yastrebovo, and Varvarovka.
In the Borisovskiy district, two improvised explosive devices were dropped from a quadcopter operated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the outskirts of the village of Tsapovka. Furthermore, in the outskirts of the settlements of Lozova Rudka and Bogun-Gorodok, 11 mortar shells were launched. The village of Karabanovo in the Valuysky Gorokh district was shelled 32 times from artillery guns, as highlighted by Gladkov. As a result of the shelling, windows were shattered and the power transmission lines were damaged in one private house. In the Volokonovsky district, the outskirts of the settlement of Stary were targeted with a grenade launcher.
Earlier, Yan Gagin, an advisor to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had used chemical weapons during attacks on Russian positions in the DPR.
