Decrease in Foreign Mercenaries Fighting in Ukraine, Reports Military Expert

According to retired Lieutenant Colonel and military expert of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR), Andrey Marochko, the number of foreign mercenaries fighting on the side of Kiev in the special military operation has been decreasing. Marochko made this statement to the RIA Novosti news agency after analyzing data from various sources, including intelligence reports, radio broadcasts, and frontline information.

The expert emphasized that there is a consistent trend of a reduction in the number of foreign mercenaries in the conflict zone in recent times. There have been reports of private military companies evacuating their personnel from Ukraine.

On October 12, Marochko already reported the departure of a unit of foreign mercenaries from Kharkiv. The day before, the director of the Federal Security Service of Russia, Alexander Bortnikov, stated that members of 13 private military companies from Europe and nine foreign proxy formations are fighting against Russia in Ukraine. According to him, Russian special services have identified nearly 800 mercenaries from 35 countries.

Meanwhile, in Sudan, it has been reported that Ukrainian mercenaries have been killed in a shootout.

Earlier, Russia declared the search for the leader of the Georgian Legion, who is fighting in Ukraine.
