Hamas Engages in Fierce Battle with Israeli Forces in West Bank Refugee Camp

The military wing of the Hamas movement has announced that it is currently engaged in a battle with Israeli forces in a refugee camp on the West Bank of the Jordan River. This development comes after Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory on October 7th, marking the beginning of their operation named “Flood of Al-Aqsa.” Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, seizing dozens of military vehicles and over a hundred hostages. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu declared that the country is in a state of war. The Israeli Defense Forces’ counter-operation has been named “Iron Swords,” with one of its objectives being the destruction of Hamas.

Former British intelligence officer, Phillip Ingram, who is now retired, has stated that if a ground operation takes place in the Gaza Strip, Israel will face militants who have been preparing for such a scenario for many years. According to Ingram, Hamas is aware of where the Israeli Defense Forces will launch their attacks from and is setting up effective anti-tank positions and minefields.

Earlier in the United States, the timeline for Israel’s ground operation in Gaza was revealed.
