Senate Committee Finds Gaza Hospital Strike Was Carried Out by Militants, Not Israel

The Senate Intelligence Committee of the United States Congress has investigated intelligence data regarding the strike on the Al-Ahli Hospital in the Gaza Strip and has determined that it was carried out by militants, not the Israeli army. This statement was published on the website of the committee’s Vice Chairman, Marco Rubio, as reported by The New York Times.

According to the senator, the explosion was the result of a failed rocket launch by terrorists, rather than an airstrike by Israel.

On October 17th, a rocket strike hit the Baptist hospital in the Gaza Strip. According to the Ministry of Health in the enclave, the majority of the victims were women and children, with a total toll of over 800 people.

Palestinian officials have accused Israel of conducting the airstrike. The Israeli side, on the other hand, has accused the “Palestinian Islamic Jihad” (an organization banned in Russia) of being responsible for the incident.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has condemned this strike as a violation of international law.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has referred to the strike on the medical facility in Gaza as a tragedy and humanitarian catastrophe.

Earlier, “Gazeta.Ru” provided answers to key questions about the Israel-Palestine conflict.
