Explosions Damage Infrastructure in Northern Ukraine Amid Ongoing Conflict

In a statement issued by the regional military administration in the city of Sumy in northern Ukraine, it has been reported that an infrastructure object in the city has been damaged. According to TASS, the statement emphasized that an “infrastructure object in the city of Sumy” was affected.

Prior to this, it was reported that explosions had occurred in the city of Sumy in northern Ukraine. On the evening of October 18, there were reports of explosions in Nikolaev and the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine.

On October 16, it was reported that a series of explosions took place in the Ukrainian cities of Kropyvnytskyi (formerly known as Kirovohrad) and Myrhorod in the Poltava region, as well as in the controlled city of Zaporizhia by Kyiv.

According to available information, on October 10, 2022, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, the Russian Armed Forces began targeting Ukrainian infrastructure. Since then, air alarms have been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire country. Attacks have been carried out on targets in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication throughout the country.

Earlier, Zelensky revealed the challenges faced by Ukraine in extending the hostilities into Russian territory.
