Israeli Army Denies Direct Hits on Gaza Hospital, Citing Photographic Evidence

The spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Brigadier General Daniel Hageri, stated in a briefing that there were no direct hits on a hospital in the Gaza Strip. Instead, the strike targeted a nearby parking lot, as confirmed by analyzed aerial photographs, according to RIA Novosti.

Hageri emphasized that the only damaged area was the parking lot outside the hospital, where they observed signs of burning but no craters or structural damage to adjacent buildings. He stated that this evidence demonstrates that the strike on the hospital did not come from the air.

“The damage caused by any airborne munition would have been different,” he concluded.

Previously, it was reported that the United States supports Israel’s claim that the rocket that hit Al-Aqlee Hospital in Gaza City was fired by the Islamic Jihad (an organization banned in Russia).

On October 18, the IDF announced that they had conducted an investigation into the incident. The Israeli Defense Forces also released a transcript of a conversation between alleged Hamas militants discussing the rocket’s impact on the hospital. The conversation suggests that the munition belonged to the Islamic Jihad.

Earlier, Netanyahu stated that Israel was embarking on a “unprecedented attack” that had not been seen before.
