Explosions Reported in Kharkiv, Ukraine; Power Outages Follow

Explosions have occurred in the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine, according to Ukrainian news outlet “Strana.”

The report states, “There are reports of explosions in Kharkiv.”

Additionally, the city is experiencing power outages.

According to an online map by the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation, an air alarm was declared on the morning of October 18 in the parts of the Zaporizhia region controlled by Kyiv, as well as in the Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions of Ukraine.

There have also been reports of explosions in the city of Dnipro.

Since October 10, 2022, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, the Russian Armed Forces have been targeting Ukrainian infrastructure. Since then, air alarms have been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire country. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the attacks are directed at targets in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication throughout the entire republic.

Earlier, Ukraine laid out its conditions for holding negotiations with Russia.
