On October 17th, a rocket strike hit a Baptist hospital in the Gaza sector. According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the majority of the casualties were women and children, with a total of over 800 people affected. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the attack on the hospital was carried out by Palestinian militants, not the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

In response to these incidents, Hezbollah declared October 18th as a “Day of Anger” against Israel.
