The owner, Jon Hallford, was also facing a lawsuit from a local crematory due to unpaid bills. It has been revealed that Hallford is accused of trying to conceal the mishandling of the corpses. Under Colorado law, green burials are legal, but bodies not buried within 24 hours must be properly refrigerated.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are coordinating efforts to identify the bodies and notify their families.
