Russian Defense Minister Participates in Opening of Future Missile Plant, Emphasizes Strengthening Country’s Defense Capability

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu took part in a ceremony marking the opening of a future missile plant at the Almaz-Antey Concern’s industrial park in the special economic zone of Technopolis Moscow. The plant is expected to produce air defense systems, which are considered among the best in the world. This development is seen as a significant step towards enhancing the country’s defense capabilities.

Minister Shoygu highlighted the reliability, simplicity, and effectiveness of these air defense systems. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the armed forces and navy at a level that can effectively respond to challenges faced by Russia in the current complex military and political environment.

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, previously stated that the Russian defense industry will experience a qualitative leap following the conflict in Ukraine.

Earlier, Minister Shoygu also discussed military exercises conducted by Russia in Ukraine.
