Russian military forces operating in the Krasnolimansk direction have effectively thwarted a series of attacks launched by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). The Chief of the Press Center of the Russian Armed Forces’ “Center” group, Alexander Savchuk, revealed this development to TASS.
Savchuk disclosed that the “Center” troops employed a combination of artillery fire and airstrikes to repel six separate assault attempts conducted by the 63rd and 67th Mechanized Brigades of the UAF, as well as the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” (an organization banned in Russia). These operations were successfully carried out in the Torsk and Serebryansk areas.
As a result of the Russian military’s defensive measures, the UAF suffered significant casualties, with approximately 60 soldiers lost. Additionally, a Kozak armored vehicle and a pickup truck belonging to the Ukrainian forces were destroyed during the engagements.
This recent military success follows the earlier announcement by the Russian Ministry of Defense, which reported the elimination of up to 65 Ukrainian servicemen in the Krasnolimansk direction. The UAF’s personnel and equipment in the Torsk, Serebryanka, and Grigorovka areas were targeted in the operations.
Meanwhile, in the United States, concerns about the UAF’s vulnerability to threats have been raised, highlighting the daunting challenges faced by the Ukrainian forces.
