U.S. Navy Chief Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Girlfriend in Florida Hotel Room

A U.S. Navy Chief, Kyle Rogemoser, was arrested in Jacksonville, Florida, for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend in their hotel room. The incident occurred after the couple had celebrated Rogemoser’s promotion and had consumed alcohol. According to the victim, an argument ensued, and Rogemoser punched her in the mouth three times. As she called for help, a good Samaritan heard her cries and came to her rescue, taking her downstairs to the hotel management. The witness then alerted the authorities, leading to Rogemoser’s arrest.

Rogemoser, who appeared to be heavily intoxicated, was arrested on one count of misdemeanor domestic battery. He exhibited confusion and claimed not to understand his Miranda rights. Photographs of the victim’s injuries revealed red marks on her chin and neck, as well as fresh blood on her lip.

After spending three days in custody, Rogemoser was released on bail posted by a family member. The victim, who shares a home with Rogemoser, has obtained a temporary restraining order against him. Rogemoser is scheduled to appear in court for his arraignment on October 31.

The U.S. Navy and Rogemoser’s spokesperson have not yet provided any comments on the incident.
